Full Bleed Arts Marketing will help equip arts organizations and artists to market themselves effectively by offering learning experiences (workshops, webinars, e-publications, blog posts) and other resources as well as sharing and support via a community of peers.

Mission
To provide artists and arts organizations:
  • Education on how to grow their marketing capabilities.
  • Marketing and design services.
  • A community platform to meet, share and learn from each other.

Who Full Bleed Arts Marketing is for.

Are you an artist or someone working in an arts organization?

As an artist or arts organization you may often have a difficult time marketing your product or service due to a lack of resources (time, money, experience).

For most of you, you are the marketing department—and every other department needed to run your organization—which makes it very challenging to have the know-how and skills needed to prepare good materials to help sell your art, your show, your performance, your series… you name it!

Being mediocre is not a good planWhat if you had more tools and skills at your disposal so you could do it better, more effectively and with more confidence? These would include:

  • Social Media – knowing how to make Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, YouTube, Flickr etc. work for you.
  • Branding – personal and organizational and what that really means in practice.
  • Design – whether it be graphic design to prepare posters and web sites or help with using images and other media.

The need for an organization that offers these types of experiences comes out of my time working in the non-profit arts sector, first as a touring singer/songwriter then as Executive Director of the BC Touring Council and Creative City Network of Canada followed by my own graphic and web design company that catered to the arts sector.

In each of these roles, I’ve recognized a need in the arts community for more support for people like you.

Bringing in others
Of course marketing is more than just social media, branding and design. Full Bleed will look to bringing you links and resources that cover an array of marketing topics. By reaching out to other people in the field a resource can be built to help you.

Community
Lastly, it’s an objective of Full Bleed Arts Marketing to develop a community that can help support each other through a proposed forum as well as face-to-face opportunities to share. It’s very powerful when people realize “I am not alone.”
